The Science Museum Competition project translates the logic and systems of nature into architecture. A suspended box intersects the site’s topography, splitting open as it meets the hills and revealing its interior through a series of colorful forms and spatial sequences. These fissures narrate scientific phenomena within a unified composition. The design creates two urban plazas: the upper aligns with the ground level, offering sky and city views, while the lower plaza opens toward the aquarium and other exposed spaces beneath the box. Circulation unfolds as a labyrinthine path through flexible galleries, encouraging exploration and discovery. At the heart of the museum, spherical volumes house the aquarium and planetarium, while supporting functions—including a children’s gallery, library, auditorium, shop, and café—are integrated along the main route, blending program and spatial experience.
